This is the world´s first Twitter race. Anyone with a Twitter account could get involved and instructions were delivered with the hashtag # DS5race. Perfect Fools and Euro RSCG Amstedam (now Havas Worldwide Amsterdam) created the campaign.

On the Facebook page, on-board cameras showed what was happening in the car and Google Maps showed the route the vehicle was traveling, as well as the exact location of the car. The users could tweet to the car and thus direct it. The person who first found the car as it stopped, won it.

Rackfish provided a fully managed campaign hosting and worked actively during the actual campaign with the production company to tailor the delivery for optimal performance. With Rackfish campaign hosting we deployed more processing power to the server during the actual campaign in order to handle the increasing load brought in by visitors to the campaign.
