Uppsala Auktionskammare – 2013

Project Description

Project Details

One of the oldest auction houses in the world, Uppsala Auktionskammare that was founded in 1731, has moved its’ digital domains to Rackfish hosting. Rackfish has worked hard optimizing the technical platform on both the operating system layer and the application layer, together with the developers at Phosworks that has taken over the development of the system.

An auction house like Uppsala Auktionskammare has particular demands when it comes to uptime and attention during a few auctions per year. These auctions will be held live in the auction house and transmitted to a worldwide audience via the web page to allow viewers – wherever they may be – to participate in the bidding process.

The areas where Rackfish provide services today is everything from domain management, infrastructure planning and managed services. This in order to ensure that the web is responding promptly to requests from the worldwide audience of buyers and sellers.
